Baby Steps

Today was an expensive but good day. Why is it that when you run all your errands in one day you feel absolutely broke?! I went out hoping to possibly get some things to help with organizing this house...and came home with mostly groceries, baby food or stuff, and items for odd jobs around the house. The only thing I brought home for my organizing project was page protectors.
I am making a family binder, it will have everything in it that we need to run the household. For example, my DH takes care of all our bills, but what if something were to happen to him? I need to know how to take over and since he does it all online I need all the passwords....and things for the jobs I do will be listed in case he needs to take care of. We are going to add our yearly scheduled appointments like, DR visits, Vet visits, house maintenance etc..
I am hoping that this Family manual will help kick start our organization process and help make sense of alot of the clutter in my head. I will post pictures of it when I get it started but for now all the supplies are sitting in a pile. (so organized right?!)

Why does organization seem so difficult?

OK, So blogging...about Organization...hmmmm. I started this blog to get other peoples ideas on organization. What works for you? What doesn't work for you? Let me explain a bit about why I decided to start blogging about it. I have always been a bit of a clutter bug but I have always been able to keep thins mostly organized. Since my son was born in October I am finding it harder and harder to keep things organized. I did ok the first 4 months and then I went back to work and am currently trying to finish my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. Ever since I went back to work it seems so hard to keep things neat...why? He doesn't make a mess...not really anyway..so why is it that my DH and I can't seem to keep it together?!

I need ideas...I need help. How do you stay organized with a baby at home while working full time and doing schoolwork? (I should also mention my work is not full time, 8am-3pm) but I live 30 minutes from work and they have supplied me with no curriculum or papers for the children I teach, I am to come up with everything on my own so this is always on my mind.
